AAXICO Technical Services (ATS), a subsidiary of AAXICO of Miami, FL., is a FAA certified facility. Originally established in late 1996, ATS created a Fabrication Inspection System a year later, which led to the company being granted PMA (Parts Manufacturing Approval) to produce parts in accordance with the guidelines established by the FAA.

ATS’s initial charter was to assist foreign-based manufacturers in obtaining FAA-PMA approval of their products for sale in both the United States and abroad. Without this approval, manufacturers can only sell their products to the Type Certificate Holder. In the same manner, ATS also offers this service to US-based manufacturers who may require expert assistance in obtaining FAA-PMA approvals for their products.

ATS has obtained various PMA's using methods of Identicality (Licensing and Non-Licensing Agreement) and Test & Computation. These PMA's cover a broad spectrum of parts in ATA Chapters 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, 72, 75 and 78. Over time, ATS's core PMA competency has evolved in several niche field components. Since its inception, ATS has received FAA-PMA approval for over 1,000 upper level assemblies and over 11,000 lower level parts.

Due to an increasingly competitive environment, airlines are constantly on the look out for ways to reduce their maintenance costs while preserving the same or higher safety standards. As a result, PMA replacement parts are now generally accepted in the airline industry as having the same form, fit, and function of the original OEM part. Airlines have been partnering with ATS to jointly develop these parts for their fleets, resulting in significant cost savings and better products.
